Solo travellers are always welcome on our extraordinary tours of the UK & Europe. Discover the road less travelled in a small group of no more than 18 people – embracing unique experiences and creating countless meaningful memories, together.
When you travel solo with us, you'll slumber in your own private room for a 25% single supplement fee, allowing you some independence while still benefiting from the safety and comfort of group travel.

Travelling Solo with Back-Roads
Stay in thoughtfully selected accommodation
There’s no sharing on a Back-Roads tour. We always allocate our solo guests their own double rooms, although they may differ in size depending on the specific property. Most of the accommodation we use is small and bursting with unique local charm. Having your very own space to retreat to each night allows you to have some independence and privacy while still enjoying the many benefits of a small group tour.

Travelling alone is great – but travelling with a small group is even better. Our tours feature a lovely mix of couples and solo guests who all share the same curiosity and passion for travel. Each escape begins with a wonderful welcome meal, too, so you can get to know your fellow travellers from day one.
